Trenchless pipeline removal (TPR) involves extracting a pipe from the ground without the need to dig a full-length trench. Instead, our team works from two small pits, cutting the pipe into sections for removal. It’s the method of choice for industries including:

Cutting Capacity
Graco’s cutters handle pipe up to >48 inches, with a 17-1/4 inch OD cutter built specifically for large ID pipe. That range spans the pipe sizes found on most removal projects, from distribution lines to large transmission pipe.
Multiple cuts per trip mean fewer pull-outs and fewer knife changes throughout a job. On a removal project, that difference shows up directly in time on site and total project cost.

Trenchless pipeline removal is engineered for ground that can’t be opened up: roadway and river crossings, protected land, and environmentally sensitive areas where excavation isn’t practical or permitted.
